What We Offer
Rubber Wet Pour:
In our opinion wet pour rubber safety surfacing the best safety surface available for commercial use. It is a slip resistant, non-abrasive to skin, free draining, all weather surface, low maintenance and is easily cleaned from debris. Wet pour is an in-situ surface which has a continuous appearance. Play value can be added by laying over mounds or ramps. This safety surface can be installed in black EPDM or any colour or a flek combination colour to a multi coloured design. Also motif's such as numbers, letters, animals, shapes, hop scotch and 3D motif's can be added.
Our wet pour system has been independently tested to comply with safety tests BS EN 1177.
EPDM rubber surfacing is a two layer porous impact absorbing in-situ rubber safety surface system. Wet pour rubber surfacing 'base course' or 'shock pad' is manfactured from 100% recycled SBR (styrene butadiene rubber) rubber crumb which is mixed with a polyurethane resin binder. The impact absorbing base layer can be varied in depth to meet the required critical fall height (CFH) of any play equipment and BS EN 1177 requirments. Each layer is then screed and floated by hand to gain an even level finish.
With all of our installations we always construct a concrete anti shrinkage fillet approx 100mm wide layed around the circumference of the area of wet pour. The wet pour is then bonded to the concrete fillet which prevents the surface from shrinking when it expands and contracts with the changes in weather. Wet pour rubber surfacing can be installed onto various sub structures, as long it is solid and free draining, but more commonly installed onto compacted MOT type 1 stone sub base or no fines concrete.
Resin Bound Rubber Mulch:
The resin bound rubber mulch is ideal for areas requiring a more natural look whilst providing a safety surface, to give a wood chip alike texture. The rubber mulch is made from recycled forklift truck tyres which is shredded. The mulch can be laid in one layer, either in black or a range of different colours. The rubber mulch can be a more affordable option of safety surfacing as a bonded shred is self-supporting and does not require a foundation layer and therefore requiring less groundworks. Also suitable for around tree bases and footpaths. Our rubber mulch system has been independently tested to comply with BS EN 1177.
Rubber Grass Through Mats: Grass through mats are a honeycomb rubber mat made from recycled rubber. Grassmats are normally 22mm thick which are laid over the existing grass on top of a layer of ground stabilising mesh, which allows the grass to grow through to conceal the grass mat itself. Play Sand and Wood Chips:
We can supply and install play grade woodchip and play sand for use as your impact absorbing safety surface on your playground or for use in digging areas and sandpits.
Artificial Grass and Synthetic Turf: There are many types of artificial surfacing. For the commercial/public sector play areas we use a ' Play safe' sand filled needle punch velor carpet. Play safe is a synthetic playground surface that has been developed specifically for playground surfaces which can be installed directly over tarmac, concrete, existing rubber and clean stone, allowing surface water to drain freely for the life of the installation. This system of safety surface can be installed with additional shock pads beneath the carpet to create different critical fall heights (CFH) for individual pieces of equipment.
For construction of MUGA's and cricket pitches we use artificial sports surfacing such as sand filled synthetic turf and 3G rubber granule filled artificial grass.
We can also supply and install realistic looking grass. With the ever increasing demand for low maintenance lawns and gardens , the artificial grass is fast becoming a great alternative. Artificial grass can transform old tired lawns, roof gardens, swimming pool surroundings, play areas and even over slippery decking areas.
